So I caved in and bought the sample pack from eBay. I'm just downloading a sample player to use them on at the moment as the ones I have aren't good enough and crash my computer. I just wanted to reply just in case anyone else is interested and I would recommend buying it. It ends soon but they are download links rather than actual CDs which meant I received my purchase in about an hour and I didn't have to pay any import charges which was what I was worried about!

I hope anyone else reading this thread will go and grab one. If anyone is interested in a particular instrument and doesn't want the whole lot I'd be happy to send them a sample for free:) As I have been looking for so many years and you guys and MrModezPineapple on Youtube have really helped me out.:) Thanks guys! I mean there's a pack available (which I bought a few months ago). Doesn't contain the 'classic' Spyro organ and distorted guitar, nor THE Snare, but you get the acoustic and electric piano, bass, some drumkits from the Spyro soundtrack, the soft bell from Artisans Home, ethnic sounds from Stone Hill, the famous. (Edit: I should have mentioned that they also provide the samples as 24-bit.wav files along with the.nki patches, so you don't need to have Kontakt or Kontakt Player. Any software sampler will do, but you'll have to re-map the samples yourself.) Also, some drum samples you won't find on the K2500 since they are from Spectrasonics' Heart of Africa sample pack (namely, the low drum roll at the beginning of Jacques, and the toms at the intro of Town Square). And most percussion loops from Spyro 2 are from the Spectrasonics Distorted Reality 1 and 2 packs.

How do you know all this? It started with where you can see his setup and have a sneak peek of the list of instruments on the screen (2:37, 2:49, 3:02.). I searched a little bit and found that he uses the Contemporary and Orchestral ROM extensions on his K2500. Then I found on Synthmania which has demo audio for most (if not all) patches (for some Spyro sounds, check out 001, 010, 192), and there are also demos for the Orchestral and ROMs (programs 800, 816, 'Tibetan thing' in the diskette section.).

Then I read in that he was using many of the CDs from the Spectrasonics Legacy collection (especially Distorted Reality 1 and 2, Hans Zimmer Guitars, Heart of Africa/Asia, and Liquid Grooves — by the way, I recognized some of their samples in other video games like Metroid Prime Hunters, Rayman 2 and 3, Majora's Mask.). Chemical kinetics and reaction mechanisms espenson pdf the best free software f. Then I heard about this guy on YouTube, who was making these Spyro-esque tracks with most of the samples Stewart used in the games. Like OP, I really wanted to know how he got those samples but somehow my comment ended up marked as spam. So eventually I did my bit of research more or less on my own. Also there's been a in this sub where, in the comments, OP mentioned the eBay link I gave above, which is where I ended up getting the samples. Still missing a few ones, those I mentioned in my previous post.

I didn't know if this was a popular thing to focus on or not. I honestly don't know. Of course, I suppose that a certain number of us musicians and die-hard Spyro fans in this sub know a little about this (I suspect I'm not the only The Police/Klark Kent fan in here). Plus I've seen quite a bit of fan-made music (using these samples) posted here lately. Edit: never mind, I thought, but I went over the latest 12 pages, and that's not as much as I thought. I should give it a try too, but writer's block sucks.
